Coffee lovers, get ready to start your work week with a FREE cup of Dunkin’ Donuts’ coffee. In celebration of National Coffee Day, participating Dunkin’ Donuts will offer a FREE medium hot dark roast coffee to guests on Monday, September 29, 2014.

Per the Dunkin’ Donuts’ news release, the new dark roast uses a unique roasting process to bring out key characteristics of different beans, creating a bold flavor and the smooth finish without the bitterness typically associated with most dark roast coffees.

To stretch out their celebration, Dunkin’ Donuts will then offer their medium hot dark roast coffee for $0.99 from September 30 – October 5, 2014. With the promise of a FREE or inexpensive cup of coffee maybe you can muster the motivation needed to get moving next week.

Getting out of bed has become more difficult for me this fall. I love the cooler temperatures, my warm bed, and snuggling under the covers. Though I’m not a coffee drinker, I know many would gladly leave a bit early on Monday morning for a hot cup. Enjoy!

Happy Coffee Day!

Our family enjoys visiting museums from art and historical to science and nature and a great opportunity is on the horizon.

Providing a possible FREE family activity, Smithsonian Magazine presents Museum Day Live! on Saturday, September 27, 2014.

Participating museums across the country admit two guests with a Museum Day Live! ticket for FREE.

Slightly different from past years, your FREE ticket is available to download once you choose the museum.

Also, some museums will accept your ticket on the screen of your smart phone.

To get your FREE ticket, follow these steps:

  1. Create or login to your account
  2. Select your state
  3. Choose your museum
  4. Download your ticket to print or to show at the museum

Each ticket will admit one person plus a guest. The tickets are a limit of one per e-mail address. If you need 4 tickets, then register with 2 e-mail addresses (e.g., personal and junk e-mail account). Read the ticket closely as some museums are limiting the offer to one Museum Day Live! ticket per household.

Check with your chosen location for FREE admission for children. Some museums offer FREE admission for children ages 12 and under. For those museums participating but closed on Saturdays, check their website for an alternate day to use your Museum Day Live! ticket.

To prepare for a fun, inexpensive family outing, create or login to your account, select your state, choose your museum, and download your FREE ticket.

In using time wisely, plan ahead by ordering your ticket now and scheduling time with your family and friends on Saturday, September 27, 2014. If your plans change and prevent you from attending, then no worries as your ticket was FREE. Happy planning!

Sadly, the Wendy’s Key Tag promotion expires Sunday, August 31, 2014. This delightful promotion offered numerous snacks and quick lunches throughout our spring and summer.

With each purchase, we showed our key tags and received a FREE Jr. Frosty in our choice of chocolate or vanilla. The small size was perfect for a refreshing treat.

If you have a Wendy’s Key Tag, then check the back of the tag for the expiration date. Not all key tags expire on August 31, 2014, but most of them do.

As a last goodbye to summer, we might need to make a stop on Sunday for our last FREE Jr. Frosty under this promotion. The vanilla is my favorite, but I have to remember to eat slowly to prevent a painful brain freeze. Happy refreshment!

Question: Do you get brain freezes (the pain headache when you eat something cold)?
