Another great drugstore is Walgreens. At one point, Walgreens had so many savings strategies that I preferred their program over CVS. However, the restrictions have increased, so I dabble at Walgreens. I have a Balance Rewards card to earn points as I shop.
I don’t have many points as I usually run in when milk is on sale or for a free photo deal. However, I am considering signing up for Steps [2]. This Walgreens program rewards members for taking steps toward a healthy lifestyle.
Points are rewarded for the following:
- 250 points = log your first goal
- 20 points = for each mile run or walked
- 20 points = when you track your weight
The points can then be redeemed as you shop at Walgreens.
- $5 = 5,000 points
- $10 = 10,000 points
- $20 = 18,000 points
- $35 = 30,000 points
- $50 = 40,000 points
If you routinely walk or run, you can earn points toward your next Walgreen’s purchase by taking a few minutes to sign up and then log your exercise [2]. In using time wisely, combine your fitness with your savings for a great return on your investment. Happy savings!
